This interior home painting project included minor drywall repairs for both bedrooms. Old roller marks and other paint build-up had to be sanded smooth. Other minor holes and cracks were repaired. Old paint had to be removed from the metal fascia that covers the closet sliding doors, and each door’s metal frame. Cleaning up sloppy work from previous painting makes such an impact on how a room comes out. The walls and trim were primed, painted and caulked. Both rooms received wall colors that are off white, one with a hint of creamy yellow and the other faded pink so they do look subtle yet there’s enough color to stand out next to the white trim. Crown moulding was installed into both rooms. It was painted white to match the other trim and fully caulked. A decorative wallpaper border strip was installed around both rooms, set along the bottom edge of the crown moulding. Both border strips have stronger colors to enhance the pale wall colors. This paint and trim project was for a home located in Ottawa.
