This home interior painting project combines a two tone beige faux finish with the installation of traditional bead board wainscoting, painted white. Crown moulding, custom door casing, baseboards and quarter round were also replaced and painted white to match the wainscoting. There was a wallpaper border strip around the top of the room that had to be removed as well as the original towel bars. All minor drywall repairs were completed. The walls, ceiling and new trim work were all primed, painted and caulked with the upper half of the walls receiving an extra coat of faux finish color. The glaze used in the faux finish wall treatment provides excellent protection for the high moisture content of a bathroom. New brass towel bars were installed to complete the project. The white bead board wainscoting looks incredible next to the beige faux finished walls. It is a great combination! This project was for a master bedroom ensuite, for a home in Ottawa.
